Dean's brother Rew is Tall-Order's label mate on Bloodshed Records. A nice tribute from the lads for the1st anniversary of Dean's tragic passing.
Hailing from Derry, Diatribe dropped this politically driven anarchistic track along with The Crimson Underground another Derry based collective. From the album Information Age this is Medisins an edgy track with punk influences attacking the controlling forces of the medical industry. The beat creates waves of attcking pulses that ebb and flow the lyrics of Diatribe creating a nice catchy fusion.
Bloodshed Records' artists dropped this tribute track You Know How I Shine for Dean Johnson (brother of Rew) featuring Terrie Gray on the hook. The track was produced by Dublin Devil and is an up-tempo track that uplifts, driven by the gritty vocals from Tall-Order and label mate Rew.
Cork's Trigger is back with Back To Basics ft Levinia, another track lifted from the upcoming EP Triggernometry, an epitaph to the departed Basic. As I've said before I rate this guy as one of the nations best at the moment, his flow is impeccable and his content is always on point. Another top track from the Cork emcee and keeping Basic's memory alive.
Linco's first single from his upcoming as yet untitled debut album Mind Over Matter was released recently and see's the Dublin native cut his way into the scene with strong influences from his mentor's at Working Class Records. The track was produced by Calzone Kelly who creates a paced track to open up for Linco's monotone flow.
Dublin's Rebel Phoenix just dropped his first single Poverty's Paradise off his upcoming debut album R.E.B.E.L. (Reaching Everyone By Exposing Lies). The beat on this track is on point, a haunting, soulful sampled intraverted beat that holds Rebel Phoenix's slow paced, heavy, body-shot message in the form of word.
Kilkenny based Zisto and Shak recently dropped the video to their track Kush form their upcoming mixtape Craic Appeal. Both who are originally from South Africa, have been busy working on honing their craft and are now ready to drop their high energy style on the nation. These guys really sound well together, complimenting each others' style as they vibe from verse to verse creating a running energy throughout the track.
Dublin City Residents' Ricishade has just dropped his first solo release, the title track from his upcoming EP Product Of A Brooklyn Seed. Produced, mixed and mastered by Gerryboy and Fitzer, this track has a smoothe feel to it. Laced with mellow jazz samples and soft pad/organ chords, it creeps slowly along as Ricishade pays homage to the culture that influenced him.
Dublin's Bitter Rocc dropped the video for Photographs from his MMXIII Part II last November. This track produced by Rocc himself captures some nice lazy, dreamscape vibes, accompanied by his matching slow paced flow.
