  • Block McCloud and Blacastan’s ‘Raise The Bar’ World Tour

This coming April sees the launch of the European leg of Block McCloud and Blacastan’s ‘Raise The Bar’ world tour as they hit Galway and then Dublin on the 25th and 26th respectively with support from rising Dublin emcee Tall-Order.

Block McCloud is well known and respected in the underground HipHop scene for some time now. Hailing from the East coast he is most known as a solid member of the hardcore supergroup Army Of The Pharaohs (A.O.T.P.) who’s members also include Vinnie Paz, Celph Titled and Apathy to name a few. He has also featured many times with the legendary underground group Jedi Mind Tricks and is also known for his hooks on features with such artists as Sean Price and Jean Grae.

Blacastan is another raw, non-sellout emcee known for his gritty, realistic rhymes and heavy delivery. A member of Demigods and more recently also became part of the A.O.T.P. His dark and deep lyrics keep him locked to the street but in a very realest form, thus giving him the respect that he truly deserves in HipHop’s underground scene.

Having recently linked up with Dublin emcee Tall-Order after hearing a collaboration he did with legendary Queens, NY emcee Kool G Rap, Block McCloud felt a similar vibe and a strong respect for his gritty style and immediately recorded the track Death Toll together. You can stream the track here http://tall-order.bandcamp.com/track/death-toll-ft-block-mccloud-ambien

From the link up with Tall-Order it seemed only right that they start the European leg of the tour in Ireland. With two Irish dates on the bill and with some special guests lined up, the ‘Raise The Bar’ world tour is kicking off in Monroe’s in Galway on Thursday 25th April followed by another gig in the Twisted Pepper in Dublin on Friday 26th. Tickets for both gigs are the small fee of 15euro.

The Galway gig is on Thursday 25th April in Monroe’s Live, Dominic Street at 21.00 and you can get your tickets from here http://yourtunes.org/index.php/en/news-and-events/blockmccloud-blacastan

The Dublin gig is on Friday 26th April in The Twisted Pepper, Middle Abbey St. At 20.00 and you can get your tickets from here http://www.bodytonicmusic.com/events/3611/
